For additional internal storage, there are two extra M.2 2280 slot for an NVMe PCIe SSD, plus 3.5″, 2.5″, 5.25″, and slim optical drive bays. If you want to add external storage drives or other peripherals, the Z2 G9 Tower features six 10 Gb/s USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, one 5 Gb/s USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 port, and three 480 Mb/s USB-A 2.0 Type-A ports.
